Starting From Iron: My Journey in Valorant

Hey everyone! I’m @keeka_chu from Twitch.tv. If you’ve stumbled upon this blog, welcome — and if you’re anything like me, maybe you’ve also felt agony of climbing the Valorant ranks.

I started playing Valorant in August 2024, and it was actually my very first FPS game. Before this, I was more of a cozy gamer — so diving headfirst into tactical shooters was a choice. 😅 Since then, I’ve been hardstuck in Iron and Bronze, grinding my way up with baby steps (and the occasional rage queue).

This blog is something I’ve been meaning to do for a while. I’m not here pretending I’m cracked — I’m here to document my honest journey, analyze what’s holding me back, and reflect on the small wins along the way. Whether it’s aim mechanics, game sense, or just confidence, I want to break it all down in one place. Hopefully, seeing it written out will help me (and maybe others too) better understand the slow climb.
